The insurrection against Nazi -Fascist occupation is remembered, so the city was awarded the gold medal for civil valor. <\/p>\n

This episode above all, particularly expensive and painful, is important because Matera was the first city of the South to arise weapons in hand against Nazi-fascism. For each Materan, it is right and right to keep that sad and glorious day of September 21, 1943, in which 26 people, 18 of which civilians, died in life. <\/p>\n

Viene ricordata l\u2019insurrezione contro l\u2019occupazione nazifascista<\/strong>, per cui la citt\u00e0 \u00e8 stata insignita della Medaglia d\u2019oro al valor civile<\/strong>.\n\nQuesto episodio soprattutto, particolarmente caro e doloroso, \u00e8 importante perch\u00e9 Matera fu la prima citt\u00e0 del Mezzogiorno a insorgere armi in pugno contro il nazifascismo<\/strong>. Per ogni materano, \u00e8 giusto e doveroso tenere in vita nella coscienza quel triste e glorioso giorno del 21 settembre 1943<\/strong>, in cui persero la vita 26 persone, 18 delle quali civili. Generalmente, gran parte degli enti privati e pubblici del settore sono aperti tutto l\u2019anno, ma \u00e8 nel cuore del periodo autunnale che un breve tour tra gallerie<\/strong>, mostre<\/strong>, pinacoteche<\/strong>, musei<\/strong> pu\u00f2 rivelarsi come un\u2019esperienza di particolare interesse per il turista appassionato di storia e cultura.\n\nIn un itinerario possibile, una tappa irrinunciabile \u00e8 di sicuro il Museo archeologico Nazionale \u201cRidola\u201d<\/strong>, il primo in Basilicata. Nella sezione dedicata alla preistoria, probabilmente la pi\u00f9 nota, raccoglie una straordinaria quantit\u00e0 di importanti reperti del paleolitico e del neolitico. Dalla fine del 2022, \u00e8 stato inaugurato un nuovo allestimento dedicato ai resti della Balena Giuliana<\/strong>, vissuta un milione di anni fa e, quasi certamente, con i suoi 26 metri di lunghezza, il cetaceo pi\u00f9 grande mai vissuto nel Mediterraneo.\n\nNon meno interessanti, in questo ideale percorso, possono essere senza dubbio le visite al Museo-laboratorio della civilt\u00e0 contadina<\/strong>, il Museo nazionale d\u2019arte medievale e modern<\/strong>a, il Museo della Scultura Contemporanea<\/strong> (MUSMA) e la Casa NOHA<\/strong> e molti altri siti di grande
