The first bus line has arrived. It connects Melfi to Matera via Rapolla, Lavello, Venosa, Palazzo San Gervasio and then the city of the Sassi, stopping in the Serra Rifusa district and then in Piazza Matteotti. It is referred to as “The Culture Bus Line” considering that this public transport route links some of the region’s most significant beauties.

From Vulture Alto Bradano to Matera, this is a line that the community has been awaiting for some time, especially because of the numerous relations existing between the two Lucanian areas, whose users range from university students who attend the university in Matera to the many tourists who flock to the city of the Sassi and who could use this means of transport to visit Melfi, the city of the castle of Frederick II and other neighbouring cities.

Timetables are still being defined.
