Free city buses for residents and tourists, in the coming weekend holidays until December 31, and then for January 6-7, 2024.
This is the initiative of the Municipal Administration, wanted by the mayor Domenico Bennardi and realized by the Councillor for Mobility, Giuseppe Digilio, to decongest the historic center of the city from cars, offering an incentive to all. So, in the coming Saturdays and Sundays until 12:00 am, urban buses will be free. “In light of the great increase in the flow of tourism, explain Bennardi and Digilio, we decided to offer this facility to visitors and residents, to avoid congestion in the center with cars in order to encourage sustainable mobility. Then you can park in the many public car parks more distant from the center and approach by bus, comfortably and free”.
Also on weekends, the urban line (this one for a fee) will be established for Cava del Sole-Parco Delle Chiese Rupestri, starting from via La Malfa at 10:30 am (return at 1:25 pm) and 2:30 pm with return at 5:15 pm and break from 1:25 pm to 2:25 pm.
