On Tuesday 31 May at 5 p.m. at the Mulino Alvino in Matera, a new project opening the door to the international incoming of teleworkers as part of the Everywhere TEW platform will be presented.

Matera has joined the “Italia Smart Working Place” Network as a possible new destination for the tourism of teleworkers. The area around Matera, in fact, thanks to its fascinating urban structure along with the appealing Sassi landscape and its millenary history, represents a place of great interest for teleworkers who are looking for a captivating lifestyle, a high quality yet slower pace of life. Thanks to these unique features, Matera has become part of the ‘Italia Smart Working Place’ Network which connects small yet exceptionally fascinating places in Italy.

The project aims to bring together Hosts (accommodation facilities, territories, villages), Experience Designers (art, culture, entertainment, etc.), local production companies and the so-called ‘Tewer’ travellers, namely people who accept this change in lifestyle and live their journey, experience and work in an integrated manner. As a result, a process of de-seasonalisation of tourist flows will be activated in different territories, all to be discovered and explored, each of them being rich in values, traditions, culture, food and wine.

All operators in this sector (hoteliers, travel agencies, etc.) as well as the organisations offering services for tourists and teleworkers, tourist guides, trade associations, and experience designers in the area are welcome to participate in the event. During the meeting, operators will meet the company to start co-designing the Tewer Plan.

Operators in the sector will have the opportunity to get to know first-hand the ambitious project that aims to support the changes taking place in the world of tourism and work. This will facilitate the mobility of teleworkers from all over the world to the city of the Sassi and the enhancement of local identities along with the development of a new, more sustainable lifestyle.

Everywhere Tew – the first platform that networks Italian territories, opening them up to teleworkers – is the Municipality of Matera’s partner in this.

Today, Everywhere Tew’s offer is specifically aimed at Italian companies and companies from abroad, and it becomes a partner providing customized welfare solutions for employees. This leads to the creation of Tewer Plans – packages created on the basis of company benefit requests to offer employees the opportunity to take a trip without giving up work, thus matching the company’s and the worker’s needs.

Participants must register using the form available at the following link: https://hubs.la/Q019vzd40
