Expression of Interest for Joining the "Matera Welcome Card" Network

INITIAL ACTIVATION AND TESTING PHASE OF THE CARD

What is it?

The Matera Welcome Card, currently in its initial activation phase and subject to any future decisions by the Municipal Administration, will be a free tool for tourists, visitors, and residents. It can only be activated by adults, or by minors under the age of 18 only at the same time as the activation of a card by an accompanying adult.

The card will provide access to discounts/promotional offers as well as to itineraries and visitor experiences within the city of Matera. In future phases, participation in the Matera Welcome Card network may be extended to include other entities and categories, including those from other municipalities in the region.

Joining the “Matera Welcome Card” network will grant access to a single, integrated system dedicated to welcoming tourists, visitors, and residents/enhancing the overall experience of exploring the area and adding value to their visit.

Who can participate?

During this initial activation and testing phase of the Matera Welcome Card, entities with an operational base in the city of Matera may apply to join the card network, provided they fully comply with the regulations in force for their sector of activity. Failure to comply may result in non-admission or subsequent removal from the network. Eligible participants must fall into one of the following categories:
– Accommodation facilities, restaurants, other public establishments, retail businesses, artisans, gyms, and sports centers offering discounts/promotional deals;
– Managers of private visitor sites, tour operators, and tour guides offering itineraries/visitor experiences and discounts/promotional deals.
