Inaugurated on Saturday, May 10, the Door of the Parks of Basilicata, a gateway to the parks system of Basilicata thanks to augmented reality that in the exhibition spaces set up makes available virtual tours to immerse oneself in these extraordinary paatrimonies.
With a large participation recorded both on the day of May 10, reserved for institutional projects and proposals, and on May 11, aimed at welcoming the public with the Open Day of the newly inaugurated Parks Gateway headquarters. An important milestone that puts Matera, already European Capital of Culture in 2019, at the service of all the Parks of Basilicata.

Intense appointments that underscored the willingness of the institutions, concretely expressed by the signing of the Network Agreement, to work as a system to tell the biodiversity of the Basilicata region and make it a tool for cultural, naturalistic and economic development. A modus operandi that focuses on a concrete idea of protection and sustainable development, through the enhancement and synthesis of the heritages of each, according to a unique paradigm for what is the very identity of Basilicata.

The Park Authority, through the president Giovanni Mianulli and at the urging of the Basilicata Region, was able to carry out this important project through the initiation of a series of contacts and meetings such as the one with environmental and voluntary associations and, of course, the one with the presidents of the various Parks that insist on the territory of Basilicata; the latter was particularly important because it was essential to lay the foundations of an intense collaboration between the entities that was sealed through the signing of the Network Agreement together with the Basilicata Region. In the presence of Francesca Di Lucchio, president of the Vulture Park, of Antonio Tisci, president of the Lucanian Apennines Park, with the sharing of the other presidents and the active collaboration of the regional officials, of the organizational positions of the Parks office: Antonella Logiurato, Mariella Ranieri and Rocchina Adobbato, the guidelines of this common commitment aimed at the preservation, protection and enhancement of the immense natural, historical and cultural resources of the Lucanian territory were set with the vision of the draft network agreement and the outline program of the three days.

“The speeches that took place over these two days, and once again I thank all those who participated for the valuable contributions offered, underscored the need to make the Porta dei Parchi the common factor of a policy to serve and of service,” said the president of the Ente Parco della Murgia Materana, Giovanni Mianulli – able to plan interventions that produce results that benefit concrete and effective common progress, and together we start right from the Palazzotto del Casale, home of Porta dei parchi, where in a totally free way tourists, and anyone who wants, can immerse themselves in the beauty of our Parks through augmented reality technology. “
Now begins the follow-up phase of this important moment, necessary to develop with the same shared method all the suggestions and consequent projects of this challenge.
