The contemporary works of the artist Antonio Paradiso are exhibited in a quarry no longer in use, in the Murgia Materana National Park. He is famous for his frequent travels in the Sahara Desert, for his anthropological studies and for being given the twisted steel remains of one of the twin towers from the World Trade Center, tragically destroyed on September 11th, 2001. The artist reworked these remains creating a contemporary work of art and installation entitled “The Global Last Supper” with Christ and the Apostles ascending towards infinity.
