Church

The church of San Rocco, founded in 1604, belonged to the convent of the Reformed Fathers of Saint Francis. The monks had occupied the old hospital that was originally built in 1348. The façade of the church was completely rebuilt in 1938 when the convent was transformed into a public hospital. The interior of the church has two naves adorned with stuccoes and wall paintings. The central nave has a barrel vault ending in a cupola and an apse, upon which there is the choir loft house, which holds the church organ. The central nave displays altars and valuable 17th-century paintings, including an Annunciation and the Pardon of Assisi, both by the local mannerist painter Giovanni Donato Oppido. There is also an Immaculate Conception, from 1666, and a depiction of St. Peter of Alántara by the Friar Giacomo da San Vito dei Normanni, as well as a painting of St. Fara by an unknown artist.

At the end of the left aisle is a painting of a Crucifixion by local artist Salomeo. In the same nave, there is the gilded wooden crucifix of considerable artistic value by Frate Angelo da Pietrafitta, from 1962.
