Rock church

The rock church of the Madonna dell’Aloja has an inverse floor-plan. Its two original apses facing east were created on the counter-façade of the entrance. In front of the main entrance, there is a Baroque altar painted in faux marble with a beautiful wooden crucifix above it. Another altar was placed on the left wall of the church, with a fresco depicting the Virgin above it. The two caves next to the church were used for funerary purposes.
